TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Agus Rahardjo briefed the agency’s employees following the controversial passing of the KPK Law revision by the House of Representatives (DPR). He called for them to remain as corruption eradicators.

“We shall not stop fighting corruption. We'll go straight to the point so there will be no hesitation upon continuing our intended task,” said Agus in a written statement on Wednesday, September 18.

Moreover, the anti-graft agency's spokesman Febri Diansyah asserted that the agency will not stop conducting in its attempt to eradicate corruption and announced that the agency has formed a transition team after the second revision of the KPK Law was passed by the House.

The transition team is tasked to analyze the contents of the new Law and to identify the consequences and changes that follow, such as the direct influence the law has to the agency’s management, main duty in the eradication of corruption, and its human resources.

According to Febri, his institution does not want the public support toward corruption eradication end as the new law arose, which is why they remain committed to the initial tasks in hand.
