Indonesian Actor Agung Hercules Succumbs to Brain Cancer

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian seasoned actor and musician Agung Hercules passed-away at the age of 51 on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at the Dharmais Cancer Hospital in Jakarta after battling stage four brain cancer.

Isa Bajaj, a comedian, and friend of the actor said he was informed about Agung’s deteriorating condition by his wife Mira Rahayu on Thursday morning via text message.

Later in the noon, Mira texted Isa again informing of Agung’s critical condition. “Then at 15:56 (Jakarta time) Mas Agung was no longer with us,” said Isa.

Agung Hercules, who was once known for his role in the children’s TV series Saras 008, will be buried in Bandung, West Java, on Friday, August 2, after the Friday prayers.
