TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The acting technical director of bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta), Welfizon Yuza, said a total of 29 new routes of Jak Lingko, the public minivan or locally known as angkot, will be integrated with the Transjakarta bus.
“We want people to get transportation access that is integrated with Jak Lingko in every 500 meters,” said Yuza on Jalan Sabang, Central Jakarta, Sunday, July 21.
He explained that the route increase will be followed by a rising number of public minivan supported by dozens of operators in cooperation with Transjakarta. The bus operator will add more 150 units for the integrated routes.
Transjakarta strived to operate 1,441 micro units this year or add some 300 units from the current amount at 1,170 units.
Yuza went on to say that all operators required to meet the Transjakarta standards, such as operating new minivan and the reparation must be handled with brand holder agents (APM). “Operators are not allowed to fixing.”
