TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President and Vice President-elect, Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin are slated to attend an event managed by their volunteers at the SICC in Sentul on Sunday, July 14. The pair will deliver a national speech at the event, which is titled "Indonesia's Vision".

The event’s leader, Budie Arie Setiadi, said the event was open to the general public as it sought to reunite the nation after April's heated presidential election.

“This is the peak of a series of events from the 2019 presidential election, which will also be the momentum for people to reunite post-election. Bapak Joko Widodo will give a speech as president-elect, while Ma’ruf Amin will lead the prayers for Indonesia’s advancement,” Budie Arie told a press conference in Jakarta today.

Jokowi camp spokesman Arya Sinulingga asserted the event was not exclusively for Jokowi's supporters, but rather for all Indonesians.

“We call on 01 [Jokowi-Ma'ruf] supporters and those of candidate number 02 [Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno], although not specifically, to throw their weight behind President Joko Widodo, ” said Arya.
