TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Bogor Regent Ade Yasin asked West Java provincial administration push the construction project of Puncak Route II or also known as Poros Tengah Timur as an effort to reduce traffic congestion in the area.
Ade Yasin conveyed her recommendation to West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil during the coordination meeting of regional heads in Kuningan, Thursday, July 11. “I have said that to West Java Governor for his consideration,” said Ade in an official release to Tempo.
According to Ade, Puncak route currently suffers from vehicles overcapacity, so a new route is necessary to reduce the burden of the road connecting Bogor-Cianjur. Bogor even had provided 24-kilometer-long lands for Puncak Route II granted by locals and investors. However, the project budget is quite pricey; it is expected to reach Rp1.250 trillion.
Therefore, Ade demanded support from the central government and West Java administration.
In addition to the route project, Ade Yasin expected Atang Sanjaya Air Base to convert into a commercial airport. She also demanded solutions on issues about Parung Panjang mining road and droughts in several areas, as well as a design for a grand mosque that will be built in Pakansari Stadium.
“We also reported that there are 95 bridges that need revitalization and 84 congestion points that must be alleviated,” she remarked.
