Jalan Sholeh Closed as Pier Head of BORR Toll Project Collapses

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The pier-head formwork on section IIIA (Yasmin-Semplak) of Bogor Ring Road or BORR toll project collapsed in the early hours of today, July 10.
The collapse was located on Jalan Sholeh Iskandar, Tanah Sereal, Bogor, adjacent to Tamansari Persada residential complex.
The construction accident allegedly occurred since the pier head was not strong enough to hold the wet concrete and caused injuries to two workers.
“Two wounded workers are rushed to Hermina hospital, so I don’t know the detail injuries, either light or severe,” said a local Aris Basuki (43) when met at the location.
Aris said that traffic of Jalan Raya Sholeh Iskandar (Jalan Baru) from Bogor to Salabenda Parung and vice versa was heavily congested following the collapse. “Severe congestion in Jalan Baru happens since five this morning,” he added.
Jalan Raya Sholeh Iskandar is the national road and the main public access.
Meanwhile, BORR Toll project head confirmed that the road closure was affected by the collapse of pier-head formwork, not the girder pole.
