TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Syafruddin announced that the civil servant enrollment test (CPNS) will be held as soon as October 2019.

“There are needs for 254,173 state civil apparatus (ASN) for central and regional administrations,” said Syafruddin as a speaker in a national meeting between Indonesian government associations on Wednesday.

He explained that the new recruits would later be stationed across the country, with 46 thousands for government central and 207,748 recruits for regional levels.

Syafruddin explained that regional administrations are still in need of 62 thousand civil servants and 145 thousand contract-based government employees (PPPK), which would fill positions as teachers and health workers.
