TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police will dispatch 32,000 joint personnel during the trial process or the 2019 presidential election dispute in Constitutional Court (MK) filed by presidential-vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno.

The preliminary trial will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019.

“We’ve known the first trial will be on June 14 and will end on June 28. So the security measures will be resumed until 28,” said National Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Asep Adi Saputra in his office, South Jakarta, Wednesday, June 12.

Asep appealed to the public to not worry because the police would not make security plans like that of during Jakarta riot on May 21-22 that blocking streets. “Just keep calm, work and run activities as normal.”

At the end of May 2019, Prabowo - Sandiaga submitted an appeal to MK for the establishment of 2019 presidential election that they deemed marred by frauds. They demanded MK disqualify Joko Widodo or Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin as election candidates.

MK has registered the lawsuit on election dispute (PHPU) today, June 12, and has 14 working days to process the appeal.
