TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said he would sanction 185 state apparatus or ASN who were absent or late coming to the office on the first day of work after Eid collective leave.

According to Anies, 66,087 employees or 99.73 percent have started the work today, June 10, and only 185 people or 0.27 percent did not come in time.

“Of course, they will face a sanction based on the existing regulation,” said Anies in the City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, June 10.

Anies mentioned the sanction for ASN was stipulated in the Government Regulation (PP) No. 53 of 2010 concerning the discipline of state employees.

On Article 7 of PP 53/2010, the sanction has different degrees from light to severe punishment, starting from a verbal warning, postponement of salary hike, up to demotion.

On the first day of work after the long holiday of Eid, Anies established halal bi halal or post-Ramadan gathering with staffers of Jakarta administration in the City Hall. attended the event was the city's regional working units (SKPD), the city’s head of agencies, regional-owned enterprises, city mayors, and a few others.

On the occasion, Anies Baswedan delivered his gratitude for employees who worked during Eid holiday, especially those working in the health, hygiene, security, fire department, and others. “Appreciation for all of them,” the governor said.
