Go-Jek Offers Free Services at Outposts in Trans Java Toll

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ride-hailing app company Go-Jek will provide massage and car wash service during 2019 Eid homecoming or mudik season along the Trans Java toll road. Go-Jek's Corporate Vice President of Public Policy and Government Relations Panji W Ruky, said that the public could enjoy the service for free at Go-Ngaso outposts from May 29 to June 4, 2019.

"Go-Ngaso is like an outpost. We have opened eight outposts along Trans Java toll," said Panji in his office at Blok M, South Jakarta on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

The outposts are located in Rest Area KM 88A in Cipularang; Rest Area KM 207A in Cirebon; Rest Area KM 397A; Rest Area KM 391A in Batang; Rest Area KM 519A in Masaran Sragen; Rest Area KM 538A Ngrampal Sragen; Rest Area KM 597A in Madiun; and Rest Area KM 725A in Gresik.

The country’s first decacorn will also synergize with local partners to cater homecomers in the outposts. According to Pandji, masseuse partner of Go-Massage will give a 15-minute massage, while Go-Auto partners will clean up homecomers' vehicle window free of charge.

Homecomers who are willing to enjoy these service are required to have the Go-Life app in their smartphone. "They can download the application on the spot," he added.

In addition to massage and car wash service, Go-Jek planned to collaborate with micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region to open culinary booths at Go-Ngaso outposts.

"We'd like to promote local culinary delicacies. We bring local merchants to the booth," said Go-Jek's Corporate Senior Marketing Manager Marsela Renata. She added that Go-Jek targeted 50,000 transactions during the 7-day program.
