TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) wants financial technology (fintechs) companies to establish better connections and linkages with banks' digital system. The desire is included in the central banks' five visions for the Indonesian Payment System (SPI) for 2025, aimed at expanding the digitalization of the financial and economic systems.

"We urge fintechs to improve their financial services, and at the same time act to inter-link with digital banking," BI Governor Perry Warjiyo said during an international seminar dubbed 'Digital Transformation for Indonesian Economy' held at the central bank's headquarters in Jakarta, Monday, May 27.
