TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice presidential candidate number 01 Ma'ruf Amin lamented the measure taken by his rival team, Prabowo Subianto, who exposed evidence of electoral fraud to the public in Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel on Tuesday, May 14.

“[The evidence] should be submitted to competent parties; Bawaslu (Election Supervisory Board) and KPU (Election Commission). No need to reveal it to the public,” said Ma'ruf when met in the central office of Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Jakarta, Tuesday, May 14.

According to Ma'ruf, there is prevailing regulation and mechanism. “Based on the regulation, it should be reported to Bawaslu to be discussed there, and then the agency will provide a recommendation,” said the running mate of Jokowi.

The national campaign team of Prabowo - Sandiaga exposed their findings on alleged frauds in the 2019 general elections today, May 14. The report was presented by Sandiaga Uno.

Sandiaga earlier said that some 1,000 people would attend the event; comprising the public, government officials, state guests, and representatives of neighboring countries’ Ambassadors, as well as campaign team of the incumbent candidate, Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin.

The report on electoral frauds was claimed to have been submitted to Bawaslu and honorary board of the election committee. The detailed data, Sandiaga added, had been sent recently as well.

Meanwhile, Presidential Chief of Staff, Moeldoko, appealed to the public to not be provoked by the findings declared by Prabowo - Sandiaga campaign team regarding fraud in the 2019 general election. “Don’t get influenced by several things that have been developed,” said Moeldoko in Bina Graha building, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 14.
