TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Joko Driyono , the former acting chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), is threatened with a seven-year prison sentence. He is facing accusation of damaging evidence in the case of football score-fixing.
The public prosecutor claims to have plenty of evidence of Joko's actions in covering up, obstructing, or complicating investigations.
"The defendant took a digital video recorder (DVR) disc which is used to store security camera footages as well as one unit of an HP laptop," prosecutor Sigit Hendradi said during the trial Monday, May 6.
The prosecutor also said that Joko Driyono took all the evidence from the office of PT Liga Indonesia in South Jakarta on February 1. He was assisted by two of his employees, Muhammad Mardani Morgot and Herwindyo.
"The defendant did not have permission from the Football Anti-Mafia Task Force investigator," Sigit said.
