Presidential Election; Jokowi still Leads KPU's Vote Counting

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Election Commission's (KPU) vote counting information system website (Situng) as per Saturday, April 27, at 15:45 Jakarta time, recorded that Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin ticket is still leading the 2019 presidential election, defeating their rival Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno.

The incumbent got 36,691,485 votes, while Prabowo-Sandiagabagged 28,320,490.

The total of vote entering the KPU system has reached 42.49 percent. Based on the pemilu2019.kpu.go.id website, Jokowi-Ma'ruf garnered 56.38 percent, while Prabowo-Sandiaga 43.62 percent.

In Central Java, the incumbent collected 8,066,099 votes while the opponent got 2,395,025 votes. In North Sumatra, Jokowi-Ma'ruf bagged 2,032,831 votes and Prabowo-Sandiaga garnered 1,723,134 votes. In South Sulawesi, presidential candidate number 01 got 1,163,657 votes and candidate number 02 obtained 1,517,193 votes.

KPU chairman Arief Budiman explained Situng represented the tabulation of C1 vote tally forms collected from each polling stations. The final vote recapitulation is planned to be announced on May 22, 2019.
