4 Embassies Reveal Voting Results; Jokowi Leads

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of Indonesian Embassies in several foreign nations have completed counting the votes from April 17's presidential and legislative elections. Tempo received the voting data from four embassies in Europe and Asia.

The Indonesian Embassy in Brussels, Belgium recorded 807 votes for Joko Widodo and his running mate Ma'ruf Amin, beating Probowo Subianto and his partner Sandiaga Uno who got 175. In Belgium, 60 percent of registered voters used their rights.

In Lebanon, the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut recorded 110 votes for Joko Widodo and 61 votes for Prabowo. The voting process in Beirut was streamed live through the embassy's official Facebook page.

At the Indonesian Embassy in Budapest, Hungary, Jokowi-Ma’ruf won 227 votes out of the 317 ballots that were cast, or 72 percent.

In Iraq, the Embassy in Baghdad saw Joko Widodo and Ma’ruf Amin leading with 153 votes against Prabowo and Sandiaga's 89.
