TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that his side was currently drafting a gubernatorial decree in a bid to prevent persecution and bullying act in schools in the wake of the #JusticeForAudrey case in Pontianak.
“We are currently preparing a policy to earmark the budget and later deploy a prevention bullying team for each school,” said Anies in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Thursday, April 11.
Anies recalled when he was an education minister, he had issued Ministerial Decree No. 82 of 2015 stipulating an order to regional administrations to establish a violence prevention team in schools. The team consists of students, parents, public figures, education figures, teachers, and state officials.

The team, according to Anies, is tasked to detect problem occurring in each school, and that from which a conflict could be avoided and an issue could be solved without criminal acts.
"The team can detect a conflict before it arises seriously. Without the team, we may not know it, and concern about it when there is a victim," Anies Baswedan concluded.
As reported earlier, a 14-year-old girl was brutally assaulted by a number of older female teens in Pontianak. The persecution captured public attention after it became viral across social media through a hashtag #JusticeForAudrey.
The victim is currently hospitalized under intensive care at a Pontianak’s hospital after sustaining both physical and mental trauma. Based on Antara report, Pontianak Resort Police is still investigating this bullying case.
