Ubud Food Festival Set to Commence in Late April

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The international-scale culinary festival dubbed the “Ubud Food Festival” is set to be held from Friday to Sunday, April 26-28, 2019.
The festival themed “spice up the world” will feature 100 speakers from various backgrounds such as cooks, gastronomy experts, national and international culinary figures.
The festival offers a number of free and paid events for visitors to experience the festival founded and directed by Janet DeNeefe who will be joining the event with representatives of Aceh Culinary Festival, Wan Windi Lestari and Irmayani.
Events from Indus Restaurant’s Kitchen Stage, Master Classes and food tours, kids events, and celebrate Indonesian food are included in the festival’s paid events. However, the festival will also provide plenty of free events for visitors to enjoy.
Non-charged events include the Festival Hub set to be located at the “Taman Kuliner” in Sanggingan Street, Ubud, where there will be around 70 stands covering everything from food and beverages, crafts, up to cooking tools.
The food and beverages featured in the stands range from Aceh, Ternate, Manado, and Bali, which are considered on par with the standards of the Ubud Food Festival. Meanwhile, international foods come from the Asia region such as Thailand and Korean gastronomy.
