TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) of Yogyakarta-Central Java has officially filed a police report in the wake of the clash with allegedly PDIP sympathizer on Sunday, April 8 in the FPI headquarter, Sleman. The HQ that is used as the campaign post of Prabowo - Sandiaga is the house of FPI Yogyakarta head Bambang Teddy.

Bambang’s lawyer, Agung Wijaya Wardana, submitted the report to Police Sector Gamping, Sleman regency, Yogyakarta, on Tuesday afternoon, April 9.

“We hope the police can completely investigate the case from this report,” Agung told Tempo via a phone call on Wednesday, April 10.

Agung explained that two cars owned by the FPI were damaged and the glass window of his client’s residence broken due to rocks thrown by the supporter of Jokowi - Ma’ruf during the clash.

“We call the perpetrators alleged PDIP sympathizers because, in this [political] situation, everyone can wear any attributes. But the clear thing is there was destruction,” Agung added.

He also submitted pieces of evidence to the police, such as three video footages from the CCTV camera in the entrance access of Padukuhan Ngaran and amateur video and prepared four witnesses.

Agung suspected there was a joint criminal act of destroying things belong to the FPI committed by a certain party sympathizer that was a violation of Article 406 in Criminal Code concerning the intentional destruction of property.

Agung further noted there was no casualty in the clash. However, his side hoped the perpetrators could be legally processed.
