TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Facebook Indonesia boss Sri Widiowati officially stepped down from her position as the regional boss of the global social media giant after the three-year tenure.

Facebook in its official written statement on Thursday, March 28, expressed their gratitude for Sri Widiowati’s performance and positive impacts in running Facebook’s program in Indonesia.

The statement said that her resignation was driven by reasons to develop her career outside of the company and did not specify what her future activities would be.

Facebook states that they are currently in search of finding Sri Widiowati’s replacement to lead the Indonesian branch company that has the fourth largest users globally with an expected 130 million active Facebook users in 2018.
