TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced there are only 111 members of the House of Representatives (DPR) who have already submitted the state official wealth report (LHKPN). Meanwhile, the report submission deadline falls on March 31, 2019.

“In the DPR, 111 members have submitted their report,” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah on Tuesday, March 26, in the KPK building, Jakarta.

Based on the data up to Tuesday at 12:00 WIB, the anti-graft body recorded as many as 441 out of 552 members of DPR have yet submitted the wealth report.

“There are some 400 people in the DPR who have not sent a report, and hopefully, this will improve obedience toward LHKPN regulation ahead of March 31,” Febri added.

According to Febri, KPK planned to disclose names of members of People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), DPR, the Regional Representatives Council (DPD), and Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) who have not submitted LHKPN.

“We will issue the names of all state officials, especially members in the legislative in April. This will be carried out in a bid to actualize an election with integrity and the public can have a closer look on the candidates,” Febri explained.

He hoped the disclosure will be additional information for the public. “People will see who has submitted LHKPN and who has not. They will then assess whether someone’s wealth is reasonable or not if compared with his legal income,” Febri added.
