TEMPO.CO , Depok - Depok City Administration prepared Rp800 billion budget to build underpass in two locations; Jalan Dewi Sartika heading to Margonda and Citayam Station gate area.
“Vehicles would always crowd the two locations," said Depok's public works and spatial planning technical executive Supian Suri, on Wednesday, March 13, adding that the budget would be Rp400 billions per one underpass.
According to Supian, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil would support the development after the latter received the information from Depok Mayor Mohamad Idris.
Supian said that the severe congestion, usually occurred in the two locations, could no longer be handled by the traffic light system. The underpass is hoped to be able to solve the problem.
Depok Mayor Mohamad Idris said that the underpass project would need a total of 1,200 meters land.
