SBY Announces Ani Yudhoyono's Blood Cancer Diagnosis

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sixth Indonesian president Susilo 'SBY' Bambang Yudhoyono explained that his wife, former first lady Ani Yudhoyono, has been diagnosed with blood cancer in a video posted on the internet by himself today.

“Ani is undergoing medical treatment in Singapore as based on the recommendation of Indonesian presidential doctor team,” said SBY Wednesday, Feb. 13.

“With deep concern, I announce to fellow Indonesians that Ibu Ani is diagnosed with blood cancer and should receive intensive treatment at the National University Hospital of Singapore,” he added.

The video also saw SBY expressing his gratitude to the current president Jokowi and the administration, especially the presidential doctors’ team for the medical assistance for Ani Yudhoyono. Lastly, SBY thanked everyone who wished Ani Yudhoyono good health.
