TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The campaign volunteer director of the Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin campaign team, Maman Imanulhaq said that the presidential and vice presidential hopefuls will adopt an offensive play in the second presidential debate.

“The best defense is a good offense,” said Maman on Tuesday at Central Jakarta.

Maman explained that Jokowi and Ma’ruf Amin will be aggressive on data-based arguments by revealing the government’s work achievements in the past four years.

“We will talk mainly about data. However, it will be delivered through what has been done and what will be continued,” he said.

The upcoming debate on February 17 will only match the vice presidential candidates with each other. The main topic of discussion will be about energy, food supply, natural resources, environmental issues, and infrastructure.

Moreover, the opposition party campaign team claims that many experts have offered to assist in the preparation of their candidates for the upcoming debate. Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno campaign team’s director of debate Sudirman Said claims to have accepted many offers.

“Many experts have offered their help,” said Sudirman. He said that the experts mostly come from former state ministers and practitioners.
