TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The program director of the National Campaign Team of Jokowi-Ma'ruf, Aria Bima, said the Prabowo-Sandiaga ticket's soft voters had reversed their support following Thursday's presidential debate.

“After the debate, soft voters of Prabowo have turned to us,” said Aria Bima at Cemara Campaign Post, Jakarta, Monday, January 21.

Aria said his camp viewed those supporters as rational voters. “So, because the visions and missions of Jokowi-Ma'ruf are more logical, they turn to us,” he noted.

The PDIP politician added the outcome of the first election debate had cemented the minds of Jokowi's supporters or hard voters into being more loyal, while soft voters became hard ones.

“Soft voters supporting Prabowo also come to us,” Aria remarked.

However, Aria admitted that the first presidential debate last Thursday could not attract swing voters and undecided voters to make up their minds.

“[Based on] our internal survey from the first debate, we admit to having not convinced swing voters [to vote for Jokowi-Ma'ruf],” said Aria, adding that he hoped the next session could attract swing voters, who are mostly millennials.
