Prabowo Lauds First Election Debate despite High Tense

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto said that the first debate of 2019 presidential election, which was held on Thursday, January 17, runs smoothly.
“It’s quite good. The situation is good. It's the first time for applying this system, but that’s okay,” said Prabowo in Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 17.
Prabowo was reluctant to detail the system he aforementioned. He admitted feeling the tense during the session. “I’m tensed up.”

When asked about questions sent out by his opponent Joko Widodo, during a closed debate, Prabowo made a short statement. “It’s not too bad, you know that. Yes, it’s okay,” said Prabowo, rushing to leave the location.
The first election debate for president and vice president candidate runs for 90 minutes which is parted into six segments bringing issues of law, human rights, corruption, and terrorism.
