TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan decided to extend the odd-even policy in several roads of the capital city starting January 2, 2019. The regulation was stipulated on the Gubernatorial Decree No. 156 of 2018 on traffic limitation through odd-even policy.

“It’s been decided that it (the policy) will be extended,” said Anies in National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, Monday, December 31.

The roads affected by the regulation are Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, MH Thamrin, Sudirman, Gatot Subroto, part of Jalan Jenderal S Parman from the intersection of Jalan Tomang Raya until the intersection of KS Tubun, Jalan MT Haryono, HR Rasuna Said, DI Panjaitan, and Jalan Ahmad
Yani.

The policy will take effect from 6 until 10 a.m. and at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. local times, and that is not valid on Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays.

Anies Baswedan explained the decree did not set the expiry date of the policy, but he would evaluate its implementation once every three months.
