TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pertamina is increasing LPG supply in Pandeglang Regency, Banten. The oil company has raised the supply volume of 3-kg tubes LPG by 45 percent of the usual daily distribution volume.

The decision was made to ensure that there is enough household gas for the people living in the tsunami-affected area.

"To secure stock in the aftermath of the disaster, there is an additional supply by 9,520 cylinders, or 45 percent of the normal days. So that the total is 30,800 cylinders distributed today," Pertamina spokesperson Dian Hapsari Firasati said in a written statement Tempo received on Wednesday, December 26.

Dian said the additional stock was distributed to bases and gas stations in affected areas such as Carita, Cinangka, Labuan, Cimanggu and Sumur.

In addition to the 3-kg LPG tubes, Pertamina also continues to ensure the availability of Bright Gas LPG, which come in 5.5-kg and 12-kg cylinders.
