Police Deploy Four Ships to Lion Air Plane Crash Location

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police have deployed several police ships to search for the debris of the Lion Air JT-610 plane with the route from Soekarno Hatta International Airport to Pangkal Pinang that crashed on Monday, October 29th.
“The police ships (KP) that have been deployed to the location are KP Sundaicus, 4 personnel; KP Elang Laut, 6 personnel; KP Pelatuk, 6 personnel; and KP Kolibri, 16 personnel," said Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo through an official statement, Monday, October 29.

The police have also alerted the Mobile Brigade, Sabhara, Polairud, Health Doctors, Public Relations of the Bangka Belitung Police, and Pangkal Pinang District Police to prepare the aid posts.
According to Dedi, his party continues to coordinate with Basarnas (National Search and Rescue Agency), as the coordinator of the search activities.
“Meanwhile, those that are refueling, KP Kutilang-5005: 24 personnel, tactical longboat: 14 personnel. While waiting for the search command from Basarnas as the coordinator of all activities,” he said.
The Lion Air plane was last caught on radar at the coordinate point of 05 46.15 S - 107 07.16 E. The plane took off at 6:10 local time, then it crashed at Tanjung Karawang about 13 minutes after takeoff.
