Rupiah Exchange Rate in Jisdor Drops to Rp15,208 per USD

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - On the official website of Bank Indonesia, the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate or JISDOR, the rupiah exchange rate to the US dollar decreased to Rp15,208 on October 23.
The exchange rate shows a decrease of 16 points from the previous one, Rp15,192 on October 22. On October 23, the selling rate of US$1 to the rupiah was Rp15,284 and the buying rate was Rp15,132.
The exchange rate of Rp15,000 per US dollar first occurred on October 3. Until now the rupiah exchange rate still reached Rp15,000 per US dollar.
Bank Mandiri Money Market Analyst Reny Eka Putri predicted the rupiah would move in the range of Rp15,177 to Rp15,264 per US dollar.
“The rupiah has the potential to decrease due to the lack of domestic sentiment this week,” said Reny, Tuesday, October 23.
Reny said the market participants were also waiting for the results of the Bank Indonesia Board of Governors Meeting held on October 22-23. It will be announced by Members of the BI Board of Governors at 2:00 p.m.
CSA Research Institute Senior Analyst Reza Priyambada estimated that the rupiah would move in the range of Rp15,185 to Rp15,172 per US dollar.
Reza said the increasing rupiah exchange rate was expected to be able to survive as there were still a number of positive sentiments from the internal.
