TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Ministry’s director general of land transportation, Budi Setyadi, said he had met with online motorcycle (ojek) taxi companies and asked them to increase their drivers' pay.
“I already mentioned the issue to them and Go-Jek has fallen in with that,” said Budi today.
Budi added he would glad should the drivers scrap its plans for a rally during the upcoming 2018 Asian Games. He said it would be an embarrasment if the rally took place.
Earlier, the online drivers’ association chairman Christiansen said he had received pressures and intimidations from some particular groups demanding the rally be called-off. He then decided that the association should back off from the planned rally.
