TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief Executive Officer of state oil company Pertamina Nicke Widyawati said her office is setting two schemes for the distribution of the 3-kilograms` non-subsidized LPG. The first scheme is to use barcodes.
Nicke said the use of barcodes is a government’s effort to conduct proper supervision and distribution to the community. “The barcodes are being processed, that's how Pertamina monitors and supervises the distribution of LPG itself,” she said, Wednesday, July 4.
In addition, Pertamina will apply the card system for the distribution of 3-kilograms LPG which will copy Bulog’s (National Logistic Agency) experience in distributing subsidized rice. "Bulog has done that for the rice. The implementation of barcodes or cards does not matter because it will also facilitate the distribution of subsidies,” she said.
Nicke explained that the nonsubsidized LPG and the 3-kilograms subsidized LPG can be distinguished from the color of the tube. "The color of nonsubsidized LPG is pink and the subsidized one remains green,” she said.
Pertamina previously also decided to launch the 3-kilograms non-subsidized LPG of Bright Gas to meet the needs of consumers because some people, who should not consume subsidized LPG, are still using the 3-kilograms subsidized LPG.
The Pertamina's 3-kilograms nonsubsidized LPG can be purchased at the agent at around Rp184,000, and Rp187,000 in COCO gas stations, including the contents. As for the refills at agent priced at Rp39,000 and Rp42,000 in COCO gas stations.
