MRT to Build 8 New Stations in Second Phase Construction

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Mass rapid transit developer MRT Jakarta is currently working hard to finalize the construction of MRT corridor I (Lebak Bulus – Bundaran HI) before it shifts the focus on the second phase construction.
MRT Jakarta Chairman William Sabandar said that the government has released the indicative map trace of the project`s second phase that will connect Bundaran HI to Kampung Bandan.

“The MRT phase-two trace's permit was signed by Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat on October 13, 2017. This trace was based on the feasibility study conducted in 2013,” said William in the Journalist and Blogger Forum event on Tuesday, February 27.
According to William, the length of MRT’s second phase railway is 7.8 kilometers that will pass through eight stations. One station will be an at-grade platform in Kampung Bandan, North Jakarta and seven other stations will be built underground.
The MRT stations will be located in Sarinah, Monas, Harmoni, Sawah Besar, Mangga Besar, Glodok, Kota, and Kampung Bandan that will act as a depot and a station.
