TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Senior Manager Public Relation of Garuda Indonesia Ikhsan Rosan stated the price changes of airport tax at Soekarno-Hatta Airport will not increase Garuda Indonesia airline ticket price. State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura II management (AP II) will adjust the tariff of passenger service tariff (PJP2U) or passenger service charge (PSC).

The increased airport tax in Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta is only valid for international flights, from Rp200 thousand to Rp230 thousand and effective on March 1, 2018.

"After years of considering, as of March 1, PSC will be adjusted," Erwin said in a written statement received by Tempo on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. As for domestic in Terminal 3 remains in Rp130 thousand. While in Terminal 1 of Rp50 thousand will be adjusted to Rp65 thousand. For domestic flight in Terminal 2 from Rp 60 thousand to Rp 85 thousand yet for the international flight there is no adjustment that is fixed at Rp150 thousand.

Erwin said the tariff adjustment is in accordance with the Transportation Minister circular letter No. PR 303/1/1 PHB 2018, January 18, 2018, about PJP2U or airport tax. Erwin also stated that the tariff adjustment is also in line with several improvements in service facilities for passengers.
