TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) relished electronic music festival called We The Fest 2017 held in JI - Expo Kemayoran on Friday, August 11.
President had previously attended 2017 National Assembly (Silatnas) II of Jokowi’s loyal supporters held at the same place, but on a different hall. After he changed into a gray T-shirt with "We the Fest" written on it, Jokowi later entered the hall called "The stage is Bananas" with the musician Shura playing on the stage.
"It’s an honor to have Mr. President here," Shura said on the stage.
Jokowi then responded by waving his hand and he also had the time to take some selfies and shook hands with the audience who were mostly teenagers and youngsters in their 20’s.
The festival also featured British musician Charli XCX. The president also jammed to four songs from Charli XCX by waving his hands and nodding his head to the music. Jokowi did stay in the WTF area for an hour and fifteen minutes and he left no signs of leaving the festival.
