TEMPO.CO, Bandung - The National Police’s Densus 88 counterterrorism squad arrested three suspects in Kampung Melayu bombings that took place on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. The three suspects were arrested in Bandung, West Java.
West Java Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Yusri Yunus said the three could belong in a terrorist group. However, he could not confirm the name of the group. He added that the three suspects could be affiliated with the Cicendo bomber.

“We will investigate their involvement,” he said. Police and Densus 88 arrested one of the suspects, WS, in Bandung on Friday, May 26, 2017.
Police also took WS’ wife for questionings. Yusri revealed that the West Java Police found a number of suspicious items, such as a modified pressure cooker and books of certain teachings.

“We seized them all for investigation purposes,” he said.
Police and Densus 88 today searched houses of two other suspects in Cisarua, West Bandung.
