ITF Groundbreaking Slated This Year: Ahok

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama targets to conduct the groundbreaking of Intermediate Treatment Facilities (ITF). Jakarta Dept. of Cleanliness is being asked to find the formula of direct appointment for the waste management.

“We have no problem, groundbreaking is slated to be held this year,” he said, Tuesday (7/26).

Two city-owned enterprises are appointed to construct ITF. Those are PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) and PT Pembangunan Jaya. ITF construction is aimed to overcome waste problem in the city.

Several locations to be ready for ITF construction are Sunter, Marunda, and Duri Kosambi.

The ITF construction was postponed because of some problems. Now Jakarta Provincial Government is able to appoint city-owned enterprises constructing the ITF based on Presidential Decree No. 4/2015.
