TEMPO.CO, Surabaya - East Java Deputy Governor Saifullah Yusuf said he received the information that the current Team Detachment 88 (Densus 88)/Anti-Terror team of the National Police is monitoring dozens of terrorism suspects in a number of areas in East Java.
"The information that I received is that Detachment 88 was monitoring people suspected of involvement in terrorism," he told reporters in Surabaya on Sunday. He added that the team did not only monitor them but also closely pays a special attention to then.
Saifullah also said a number of people suspected of involvement radicalism do not only come from the old network, but from new network as well.
Additionally, Saifullah also called on all sides to work together and pro-actively prevent the emergence of radicalism that started from their communities.
