TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The State-Owned Logistics Agency (Bulog) claimed to have 80,000 tons of beef in stock. Bulog stated that their beef supply is sufficient to meet public demands until after Eid al-Fitr.
"The beef are stored in Bulog warehouses in all regions throughout Indonesia,”" Bulog Procurement Director Wahyu said on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
Wahyu explained that most of the 80,000 tons of beef are imported beef from Australia. Wahyu said that the beef will be used to held market operations to stabilize prices.
"During market operations, beef will be sold at Rp 80,000 per kilogram," Wahyu said.
