TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Trade and Commerce (Kadin) and the Indonesian Stock Exchange (PT Bursa Efek Indonesia/BEI) is now cooperating to add the number of issuers, including in the regions, in the stock market.
"Kadin will boost the number of regional issuers that have the potentials,” said Kadin Chairman Rosan Perkasa Roeslani on Friday (29/4).
Rosan also said that Indonesia’s stock market needs to increase not only the number of issuers but also stock investors because investors registered at the stock exchange is still below 500,000 people. According to him, the number is still considered low compared to Indonesia’s population.
Rosan added that the need of the business world for capital tends to increase from year to year, in conjunction with the increase in goods and service production.
