TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After its official announcement made by Google last year, Android 6.0 with Marshmallow code name is welcomed by many smartphone manufacturing companies, including Flash.

To improve performance and bring user’s experience to the next level, Country Managing Manager Alcatel Indonesia Eko Susanto said  Flash 2 will soon receive update for Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

“Flash 2 will be getting Marshmallow update in March 2016,” Eko said in Jakarta on Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Flash 2 itself had been officially released in September 2015.  The device comes with a 5-inches IPS HD display and sport MTK MT6753 8-kernel 64-bit processor, with a 3000 mAh lithium battery.

Eko says Flash 2 has been successfully dominating sales along the 12-12 celebration, particularly for smartphones ranging between Rp1,500,000 – Rp2,000,000 available in Lazada.

Lazada data showed that Alcatel Flash 2 ranks in second place among various categories including smartphones, smartwatches, and household furnitures in Malaysia and Vietnam.

“Flash 2 is not only popular in Indonesia but also in Southeast Asia. This is a huge achievement for a product that had just developed its brand,” said Eko.

Eko also mentioned that Alcatel will soon released Flashe's latest device. “In Q2, there will be a device which has different camera and different size,” he said.
