TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) on Thursday, December 17, 2015, will conduct an interrogation on Medina, a personal assistant of former House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Setya Novanto. Medina will be questioned in relation to the suspected conspiracy between Setya and oil tycoon M. Riza Chalid in Freeport Indonesia contract extension.
"But I haven't received report whether she has arrived or not," said the AGO's special crime investigation director Fadil Jumhana.
The AGO has interrogated Medina last Monday, December 14, 2015. The AGO questioned Medina about the meeting between Setya, Riza and Freeport president director Maroef Sjamsoeddin.
Fadil added that the AGO had also summoned several legal experts to provdide insights on Setya Novanto's case. However, Fadil refused to mention the name of the experts.
Setya Novanto himself has resigned from his position as the House Speaker on Wednesday evening, December 16, 2015, the House of Representatives Ethics Council decided to impose sanction for his ethics violation. In his resignation letter, Setya apologized for the political uproar he had caused.
