TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Application-based public transportations in Jakarta flourishes after the launching of `Bajaiapp` application. Through the app, people can order bajaj - famous three wheels public transport in Jakarta, just by a touch of a smart phone.
According to Jakarta Transportation Department Chief Andri Yansyah, with this app, people can easily have access to bajaj. `Society can order bajaj anytime,` Andri said during Bajaiapp launch in Pluit, North Jakarta, on Wednesday, Oct 7.
For its fares, the government is amid reviewing the appropriate formulation. `Don’t let the price be more expensive than taxi,` said Andri.
Through this app, Andri expect bajaj driver can improve their welfare and services towards society.
Head of Jakarta Land Transportation Organization, Shafruhan Sinungan, says the app is created in order to meet society’s need. ‘The convenience factor for the passenger is another matter that we noticed through this app,` he said.
Today, Bajaiapp is launched at Waduk Pluit Park. The app can be downloaded via Google Play and App Store. The launching event was attended by Jakarta Transportation Department Chief Andri Yansyah, Traffic Director of Metro Jaya Police Department Senior Commissioner Risyapudin, Head of Jakarta Land Transportation Organization Shafruhan Sinungan, and Bajaiapp creator Ferry Njomin.
