Pertamina: Community Oil Service Fee Negotiable

TEMPO.CO, Bojonegoro-PT Pertamina EP said compensation for services or expenses of lifting and transportation of crude oil from old oil wells in Kedewan District, Bojonegoro, East Java, could be negotiated with reference to world oil prices, company officials said Monday, October 5.
"Services cost of lifting and transportation of crude oil that are paid follow the world oil price," Vice President of Health Safety Security Environment PT Pertamina EP Heri Budiarso said in Bojonegoro, Monday.
He stated that, in response to a statement by crude oil explorers in Kedewan, Wakimin, in dialogue with the East Java police chief, Inspector General Anton Setiadji.
According to Wakimin, the amount of compensation for services provided to community explorers today is Rp2,725/liter, much lower than the fee when the exploration was managed by cooperatives.
“The world oil price now is 45 US dollars/barrel. When administered it was administered by the cooperatives, world oil prices reached 100 US dollars/barrel,” said Heri.
However, according to him, Pertamina EP Cepu Field Asset 4, is ready to negotiate the cost of services of lifting and transportation in local oil fields.
Hundreds of community explorers in Kedewan District previously spoke with the East Java police chief, Inspector General Anton Setiadji and the Bojonegoro Regent Suyoto.
The dialogue is part of the process in drafting regulations governing the management of the old oil wells.
