TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian furniture products and coffee commodities whose raw materials stem from multiple regions in the country are in great demand in Bulgaria, prompting businessmen to export them.
"Indonesian coffee is delicious and its taste is different from similar products in Bulgaria,” a Bulgarian businessman told Tati Buesing-Kock, an Indonesian importer who stays in Bremen, Germany, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
Tati Buesing-Kock is one of Indonesian businesswomen who attended the Indonesia-Bulgaria Business forum and the one-on-one meeting organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Sofia in tandem with the Directorate General for National Export Development of the Trade Ministry at Kempinski Hotel.
Tati, who has long resided in Bremen, said Indonesian coffee was in high demand in Europe and had been marketed to German, Russia and the Great Britain since two years ago.
Indonesian coffee in the business meeting in Bulgaria has been estimated to boast a potential export value of US$223,000 per year.
Meanwhile, furniture businesswoman Gracia Jessica of Jakarta-based PT Benteng Berkat Makmur said the Bulgarian community was attracted to Indonesian furniture products thanks to its quality wood and competitive prices compared to similar products from other countries.
“I’m happy about the Indonesian furniture showroom in Varna, because it represents our signature products in Europe,” she said.
