TEMPO.CO, Tasikmalaya – Personnel from the National Police’s anti-terror elite squad Detachment 88 (Densus 88) raided a rented house in Tambun, Bekasi, on Saturday, March 21, 2015 and captured suspected ISIS partisans Engkos Koswara and Furqon.

Engkos has been identified as a resident from Ciranjeng hamlet, Salebu village, Mangunreja district, Tasikmalaya regency, West Java.

Nengsih, Engkos’ older sister, said she was stunned by his brother’s arrest. “He didn’t seem suspicious in his daily routines,” she told Tempo in her residence on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.

Nengsih said to her knowledge Engkos worked at a magazine in Jakarta, and prior to that a dates seller and bekam—blood-letting by use of suction cups—therapist.

“He sold dates at Kampung Rambutan bus terminal, sometimes he went door-to-door,” she said.

Densus 88 nabbed Engkos with four other persons for suspected links with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The other four were M. Fachri, Aprimul, Amin Mude, and Furqon.
