TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will possibly make his first official first visit to Indonesia to attend the Asian-African Conference in Bandung in April 2015, Yonhap News Agency reported on Sunday.
Since he became the leader of North Korea in December 2011, Kim Jong-un has not made any official visit abroad.
An unnamed South Korean official said the meeting would be an important diplomatic schedule.
Kim Il-sung, the late founder of North Korea, joined the conference during its 10th anniversary in 1965. He was accompanied by Kim Jong-un’s father Kim Jong-il at that time.
The official also said Kim Jong-un might attended the anniversary of the Asian-African Conference in Bandung, which will be held in Jakarta from April 22-23.
