TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Zainuddin, the Functional Group (Golkar) Party Chairman at the Jakarta Legislative council said that he is supporting the beef procurement cooperation between the Jakarta administration and East Nusa Tenggara. According to Zainuddin, the cooperation will meet Capital’s demand for beef better than imports.
“It would be better to work with local livestock farmers,” Zaiunddin told Tempo on Saturday, December 20, 2014.
However, Zainuddin criticized that the plan has yet been discussed with the city council to clarify the purpose of the cooperation. Zainuddin admitted that some councilors rejected the cooperation.
Earlier Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama signed a cooperation agreement with East Nusa Tenggara Governor on Saturday, December 20, 2014. The cooperation signing was witnessed by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
Other Jakarta administration’s officials attending the cooperation signing include Investment and Promotion Agency head Catur Laswanto, Maritime and Agriculture Agency head Darjamuni, and Governance Bureau head Irmansyah.
