TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Portugal national football team tackled Armenia 1-0 in the 2016 European qualification at Estadio Algarve, Faro, Portugal, earlier today. The squad’s keyman Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winning goal in the 72 minute.
Playing at home, Portugal took on fierce resistance from their guests. Armenia created 9 shots, seven of which straight toward Portugal’s net. Unfortunately, none of the attack produced goal.
On the other hand, Portugal created 16 chances but only six on target, which means they are less effective compared to Armenia, despite winning.
The triumph brings Portugal to the 3rd rank in Group I with three points after two matches. Meanwhile, Armenia stays on the bottom with one point.
