TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta regional government transportation company Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta), is planning to add 1,300 new buses in 2015.
Transjakarta president director Antonius Steve Kosasih on Thursday, September 11, 2014, said that the company currently has 700 buses, with 400 buses in good conditions while the other 250 are in need of immediate replacement. "The procurement of new buses is for public transportation services," he said.
He said that the company would be more careful purchasing new buses in order to avoid purchasing faulty buses by undertaking special approaches, including direct appointment of old bus operator for the new bus procurement process.
