TEMPO.CO, London - As the summer transfer window will come to a close this midnight, the biggest spender title is likely to be attributed to Manchester United. Ironically, the Red Devils still unable to achieve a single victory in their first three matches.
Manchester United have spent approximately 185 million Euro to recruit Angel Di Maria, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, and Daley Blind. The club's transfer expenses were bigger than Liverpool (168 million Euro), Manchester City (133 million Euro), Chelsea (103 million Euro), and Arsenal (77 million Euro). Sadly, the Red Devils' achievement was not as majestic as its transfer value.
So far, Manchester United has only managed to collect two points from three matches, with one defeat and two draws. Van Gaal, in response to the fans' disappointment, said that he needed three months to bring United back into shape.
